In memory of Ben Rees, an infinitely important part of the Students’ Union's Events department, a talented DJ, and a sorely missed man around the Swansea community.
We’re throwing a massive party in his honour, with a fully decorated container stage and giant stretch tent, along with support from the best DJs from Swansea’s biggest brands; Sink, Sin Savers, Tooters, Rise, Faux Pas, The Lighthouse Project, as well as a headliner or two… We know you’ll be partying with us, Ben!
The main stage resides between the trees, deep in the Enchanted Forest. This is the main attraction and will showcase the best in musical talent from across the land.
Showcasing the best in local musical talent, from bands to solo artists, The Treehouse is sure to keep you entertained throughout the day. Here you can grab a cocktail from the alchemy station…and when the sun goes down, our favourite DJs from Hustle break out the disco mat and finish the night of in style!
Need some time out to have some food and grab another beverage? Head to the Meadow. We have everything you need here to quench your thirst and tantalise your taste buds, including some new cuisines this year! Mmmm…
Forged in the white-heat of drum & bass’s Noughties revival, Sigma have now sold over 2 million singles, with 4 hit records and 2 platinum awards to date. They’ve received 2 Brits nominations, sold out their debut live tour, and played festival main stages across the world
The versatile London, England-based Katy B, a dance-oriented electronic pop artist inspired by the likes of Mary J. Katy B performed at the London Jazz Festival in 2009 with Ms Dynamite, who also featured on Katy’s second single “Lights On”.
Ms. Dynamite (aka Niomi McLean-Daley) grew up in North London, listening to reggae and turning to hip-hop at the age of 12. She is the recipient of the Mercury Music Prize, two BRIT Awards and three MOBO Awards.
They were each raised on a dizzying array of popular genres and styles and it shows in ‘In2’, their debut track together, which charged up to number ten on the Shazam Urban UK chart shortly after they released it on YouTube.
Hailing from South London at 23 years old, this musician is wise beyond his years and ready to smash into the music industry! If you haven’t already heard of him get ready for the arrival of Yungen.
Listening to Zak Abel’s strong, distinctive and soulful vocals, you wouldn’t know he was only 19! This North Londoner has been writing since he was 15 and signed his first record deal at 17. Guest vocalist with Bondax across the UK and Europe this summer and most recently performing with Gorgon City.
The grand dame of alternative nights, Sean Rowley’s “youth club for adults” has been putting the pleasure into guilty pop across the UK for more than 15 years. But it’s not only musical merriment that revs up the crowds at its flagship London night at Koko: Rowley swoops in on new cabaret talent, too.
Al Lewis is a singer/songwriter originally from North Wales and his sound is reminiscent of the classic singer-songwriters of the 70s, delivered with a modern twist. Al has spent multiple weeks on the Welsh Language Charts and scooped the award for ‘Best Male Artist’ two years in a row at the BBC Radio Cymru Awards.
Lost Freakuency are a classic rock band from South Wales with a passion for music. Different songs from different eras, ranging from the 1960s until now.
The Midweek Revival began as an impromptu jam session at an open mic night in Swansea in January of 2014, and after a round of drinks, the band was born. Since then, The Midweek Revival have gone on to support acts such as Scouting for Girls and Sunset Sons. The band’s live shows are praised for their energy and intimacy.

Pretend Poets is a four piece musical outfit that formed in South Wales in the early part of 2014. Their musical style primarily consists of soft rock, with a strong emphasis on Funk, as well as elements of Hip-Hop, R’n’B, Punk and Ska among others. The band have coined the term ‘Driftwood’ when discussing their sound, referencing the fact that their music seems to drift between genres.
Jango Haze are an Alternative Electro-Funk band from our very own ugly, lovely town that is Swansea. Expect eclectic beats and a real stage presence.
Formed under the name ‘Havana’ in 2011, they steadily built a following with their musical releases and live shows. After initial writing sessions, the band released a collection of demo tracks that gained attention in their local area. This prompted their release of their full debut EP: “Elasticbands and Paperweights”. 2015 sees the return of the band under the new moniker “Only Sun” and promises to be a big year for the group.
SWNS are a five piece alternative band from Swansea, Wales, comprising members from all over the UK, and offering a heavy yet melodic sound.
A vibrant, versatile choir, singing arrangements from many genres and decades.
